School begins for LAUSD on August 20th. Many kids are having to return to a high degree of negative peer-pressure, cruel social media posts and personal bullying. At Youth Mentoring we strive to empower the kids with confidence, educational training and practical life lessons. Yet, we also want to equip them with a brand new backpack full of school supplies that most would not have access to otherwise! No sign-up required just show up to volunteer!

RED EYE: NYC @ THE UNITED NATIONS...

Red Eye was honored to get to represent YOU at meetings at the UNITED NATIONS. The phenomenal work you are doing has caught the attention of some very key people. 

Once again, Red Eye had the honor of joining NEXUS, which is an international network of more than 2,000 young investors, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, influencers, and allies who work to increase and improve philanthropy as well as social impact investing. The membership includes people from more than 70 countries and hundreds of the world’s most influential families. To put the hope and promise of young people on the world stage, the network collaborates leaders at Nexus Summits around the world for dialogue, education, and problem-solving through partnership. We are honored to represent YOU!

RED EYE: SYDNEY...

We just returned from an inspiring time with some of our Red Eye: SYDNEY Team. Words can never express how incredibly proud it is to see our family bringing love, hope, creative empowerment and a sense of family in our global chapters. They are doing phenomenal work with their Australian flair, but in succinct unity with our other global chapters in London and Paris and our chapters in LA, NYC and Vegas.

WATER SPLASH BASH...

Numerous kids in Watts Housing Projects have expressed that they never have been to a Water Park or the Ocean. So every Summer we BRING THE ACTION TO THEM!!!

SKID ROW STRONGMAN COMPETITION...

Whenever we started doing the Mother's Day Makeovers the men started asking what we would do for them! Our Annual Skid Row (Father’s Day) Strongman Competition is something like you have NEVER experienced!! From the Massive Tire Toss, Cement Block Relay, Bench Press Competition, Sledge Hammer Smashing to the renowned TRUCK PULLING CONTEST.

MOTHER'S DAY MAKEOVERS...

Every Mother’s Day we gather on Skid Row for one of the MOST LOVED HUMANITARIAN EVENTS of the WHOLE YEAR. We head to Skid Row to do HAIR STYLING, MAKE-UP, NAILS, WARDROBE MAKEOVER, FEET WASHING, MASSAGES, EMPOWERING PHOTOSHOOT with PRINT OUTS, RED CARPET and of course COSMETIC SWAG BAGS for these AMAZING women that live on Heroin Alley! The photo wall reads, "I AM..." and the mothers have many options of signs to hold saying "LOVED", "BEAUTIFUL", "STRONG", "ADORED", "COURAGEOUS", “MOM” and much more.

LAUNDRY LOVE MINI-FESTIVAL...

What happens when Red Eye invades one of the lowest economic laundromats in America in order to pay for the cleaning of everyone's clothes and belongings?! LAUNDRY LOVE is what we call it!!
 
It doesn’t matter if you have your Ph.D. in laundry or have no clue even what fabric softener is. You see, when we clean the belongings that families bring, we are cleaning LITERALLY EVERYTHING many of them own. So this means the world to them!!
